DONATE TO GETT PHILADELPHIA!

To Our Local Business Community,

We invite you to support us as we launch the 1st year of Girls Exploring Tomorrow’s Technology of Philadelphia!  This event will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2009, at The University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.  On the same dates, sister events will be conducted in Chester County, PA and Casper, WY. GETT is a focused, fun, and informative day-long event, where Philadelphia girls in grades 6 through 12 and their parents, at no expense to students or families, learn about and experience exciting and rewarding technology-based careers, directly from successful business women, entrepreneurs, and educators.

In a continuing effort to raise awareness for the increasingly popular GETT event, we are reaching out to local enterprises to request support in providing incentives for the girls in attendance.  Corporate and business support in the past at GETT of Chester County has included monetary donations, i-Pods, flash drives, computer software, games and hardware, cameras, gift certificates, and other give-away items.

We encourage you to consider supporting GETT 2009!  Please be assured that your generosity will be publicly recognized during the event.  The Life Science Career Alliance and members of the GETT Organizing Committee provide perennial support to GETT. Dedicated volunteers donate countless hours to sustain the GETT mission. Support in sustaining the new GETT of Philadelphia initiative will be sincerely appreciated as we attempt to reach out to as many young women as possible this year in our area.  Instead of having the students finish high school wondering what they might want to do with the rest of my life, perhaps this event will help show them some possibilities that they may not have considered on their own.
